BRAKER’S MARKET
EUREKA, ILLINOIS
EUREKA, ILLINOIS
OUR PROCESS
When Derrick heard that Phil Braker, owner of Countryside Barns was going to add a dry goods store to the Eureka community, he stopped in to see if 323 could help with cabinetry.
Phil and his wife jumped at the opportunity, and we began the design process. Our focus was on the cabinetry in the back – the deli and packaging dry goods area.
A dry goods store had been a dream of Phil’s for a long time, and because of this he had already done a lot of his own research. He had visited other dry goods stores to get a feel for how they were run and laid out, and had decided on a layout of his own for Braker’s Market. We worked with his wife, Rebecca, on the colors of the cabinetry – she loved the Fossil Gray from Prism against the polished concrete floor and the black shelving in the back. We agreed – the entire look was very sharp when everything came together. This was one of 323 Design Team’s first commercial cabinetry jobs, and Phil and Rebecca were great to work with. If you haven’t been to Braker’s Market in Eureka, put it on your list – it’s a great stop for dry goods, deli sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, and lots more.
